3 Month Pictures

Aaron and I took some 3 month pictures of Leah and got some great shots.

3 Months

Leah is 3 months old!  I can't believe how fast the time has passed.  This month Leah has begun to "talk" and smile a lot more.  She also has improved her head and neck control, rolled from belly to back, and sleeps through the night.  At the beginning of August, we took our first family vacation to Curtis, MI (upper peninsula).  Leah also started day care this month and is enjoying her playtime during the day with her teachers.

Leah is 12+ pounds this month.

2 Months

This is really late, but I wanted to show some pictures from Leah's 2nd month.  This month Leah really started to follow our faces and respond to our voices.  She learned to smile and get excited about things going on around her.

Enjoying bathtime!  She loves getting sprinkled by the spray bottle.

Leah Smiles

Leah has started smiling and cooing at people and herself this week.  Each morning she enjoys looking/talking at herself in her swing.  She also smiles at people's faces all day long.

Leah's First Month

Leah is growing like a weed!  I can't believe how quickly she is growing and developing each day.  For the past two weeks she has gained 10 oz. each week and now weighs 10 lb 1 oz.  Almost 2 pounds bigger than when she was born.  Leah had her 1 month checkup last week and is a very healthy little girl.  The pediatrician said that she is 50th percentile in weight and 75th percentile in length and head circumference.  In the past month, Leah has begun to lift her head and focus/recognize Aaron and I.  She has also begun sleeping longer some nights.  She has had lots of loving visitors and we have enjoyed all of the time spent with family and friends during the last few weeks.

Leah loves her new outfit, given to her by her "favorite" aunt Gail

This is what happens when there are lots of little girls around who want to make Leah laugh!  Nice hat (diaper) Leah!

Leah's go to pose when falling asleep!  She couldn't be cuter :)

17 Days until My Due Date!!!

We are getting ready for the arrival of our baby, but the baby seems to think that it is staying lodged in my rib  cage and lungs forever!

38 weeks and 3 days pregnant

Continuing to decorate the nursery.  We now have a very cute wall decal up that has cute little birds.

2 of my latest projects: An owl pillow and light birdie blanket, perfect for spring time.

This is our bookshelf/toy box for the baby.

This week will be quite busy as we prepare for the arrival.  We are packing out hospital bag, going to a weekly doctor's appointment, touring the birth center, getting pampered at the spa (Mom I can't wait for Friday!) and seeing friends and family at the shower on Saturday!

33 weeks and Counting!

Aaron and I have had a very productive and restful spring break this week.  I got a lot of sewing projects done.  I have been working on making burp cloths and a crib skirt.  I also continued to work on some decorations for the nursery.  Aaron did an excellent job on refinishing/painting my mom's old dresser.  He also worked on our dining room floor, making sure to get rid of all puppy chew marks.  Aaron has been a great help during these last few weeks and has been great about dealing with my nesting projects!

Aaron refinished the white dresser you see in this picture (above), it originally was white with pink flowers.

Here is the finished project!!!! Beautiful job, I am so impressed!

The finished crib skirt.

Here are some of the burp cloths I am making.

 32 weeks pregnant!
